All GTA 3 Definitive Edition cheat codes are listed below by platform. PC and mobile share the same keyword-based input system — type the code directly during gameplay. Console players use controller button sequences, which differ slightly between PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch. Fair warning: activating any cheat disables achievements and trophies for that session, so save your game first.

How to Enter Cheats on Mobile (Android/iOS)

Mobile is the one platform where cheats aren’t entered mid-game. Instead, you have to go through the menu system — which isn’t obvious the first time around.

Tap the mini-map in the top-left corner of the screen to open the main menu. From there, go to Options → Accessibility → Enter Cheat Code. An on-screen keyboard will appear. Type in any keyword from the table below exactly as written — all caps, no spaces — and confirm. The effect applies immediately.

This same keyword system works on PC. Just start typing during gameplay (no menu required, no text box appears) and the game registers the input in the background. If the code is accepted, you’ll get a brief on-screen confirmation. PC and mobile share identical keywords, so the table below covers both.

One note on BOOOOORING: yes, it really does have that many O’s. Six, to be exact. ITSALLGOINGMAAAD also has three A’s at the end. These are the codes people most commonly mistype, so double-check those specifically if a code isn’t registering.

Controller sequences are entered directly during gameplay — no menu, no pause screen. Just input the button combination at any point and the effect triggers. Each code needs to be entered quickly but not frantically; the game has a reasonable input window.

The Angry Pedestrians and Rioting Pedestrians codes are nearly identical — the only difference is the final two buttons are swapped (L1, L2 vs L2, L1). Easy to mix up. Rioting is the more chaotic of the two: pedestrians don’t just fight Claude, they fight each other.

The Xbox sequences map directly to the PlayStation ones — RT equals R2, LB equals L1, and so on. The logic is the same; only the button labels differ.

Nintendo Switch Cheat Codes and Controller Inputs

Switch uses ZR/ZL instead of RT/LT, and R/L instead of RB/LB. The face button layout is rotated compared to PlayStation — A on Switch maps to X on PS, B to Circle, and so on. That rotation trips people up, so read these carefully rather than assuming they mirror the PlayStation codes.

Achievement and Trophy Lockout — Read This Before You Start

This is the part that matters if you care about 100% completion. Activating any cheat code in GTA 3 Definitive Edition permanently disables achievements and trophies for that save session. Not just for the duration the cheat is active — for the entire session from the moment you enter it.

The session flag resets when you reload your game. So the safe approach is simple: save manually before entering any cheat. When you’re done messing around, quit without saving and reload your clean file. A few specific things worth knowing:

The Rioting Pedestrians cheat is particularly dangerous to leave running — it can trigger autosaves during combat chaos
BANGBANGBANG (Destroy All Cars) will also destroy mission-critical vehicles in some missions, potentially soft-locking progress
The Spawn Tank cheat spawns a Rhino directly at Claude’s position — useful, but it will crush you if you’re standing still

If your goal is a clean trophy run, keep cheats on a separate save slot entirely. That’s the cleanest solution.

Do GTA 3 Definitive Edition cheats work on Netflix mobile?
