GTA Vice City Definitive Edition has over 50 cheat codes covering weapons, vehicles, character skins, weather, and wanted level—available on PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC, and mobile. On PC and mobile, you type keyword strings directly. On consoles, you enter button sequences during gameplay without pausing. One critical warning before you start: activating any cheat disables trophy and achievement tracking for that session, so save your game first.
Every code listed below has been verified against the Definitive Edition release. The keyword codes for PC and mobile are identical, and controller inputs vary by platform—don’t mix up PlayStation and Xbox inputs, or nothing will register.
Before You Enter a Single Code
Console inputs work during active gameplay—no menu, no pause screen. Just enter the button sequence at normal speed while on foot or in a vehicle. You’ll see a confirmation message on screen if it registered. If it doesn’t appear, try again slightly slower.
On mobile, tap the mini-map in the top-left corner to open the main menu, go to Options → Accessibility → Enter Cheat Code, then type the keyword. On PC, just type the keyword directly during gameplay—no console window needed.

A small but important note for PC players: PANZER spawns the Rhino Tank directly in front of you, which will immediately destroy any vehicle you’re standing next to. Make sure you’re in an open area before entering it.
Which Codes Are Actually Worth Using
Most people reach for ASPIRINE and PRECIOUSPROTECTION first—fair, given how punishing some of the later missions can get without body armor. But the weapon sets have a hierarchy worth knowing. Weapon Set #1 (THUGSTOOLS) gives you the basics: baseball bat, pistol, shotgun, Uzi, grenades, and molotov cocktails. Set #2 (PROFESSIONALTOOLS) upgrades that to a Python revolver, SPAS-12, MP5, and Sniper Rifle. Set #3 (NUTTERTOOLS) goes further still—Minigun, Flame Thrower, M60, Rocket Launcher. Stack them in order and you’ll have every weapon slot filled.
The pedestrian chaos codes are where things get genuinely unpredictable. FIGHTFIGHTFIGHT (Rioting Pedestrians) combined with OURGODGIVENRIGHTTOBEARARMS (Armed Pedestrians) creates city-wide anarchy that even the six-star wanted response can’t easily contain. Fun for about four minutes. Then you die. Repeatedly.
For vehicle spawns, the Rhino Tank (PANZER on PC/mobile) is the obvious pick for surviving extended wanted-level sessions. That said, the Sabre Turbo has better handling for actual driving, and the Hotring Racer variants are genuinely fast—community testing places the Hotring Racer #1 among the quickest vehicles in the game by top speed.

Do cheats disable trophies and achievements permanently?
No—they only block trophy and achievement unlocks for the current session. If you save your game before activating any cheat and reload that save, you can still earn trophies normally. Never save while cheats are active if you care about your completion record.
Can I enter cheats while in a vehicle?
Yes. Console inputs and PC keywords both work whether you’re on foot or inside any vehicle. Some vehicle-spawn cheats will replace your current ride if entered while driving, so step out first if you want to keep what you’re in.
