NVIDIA explains that Control For PC uses three trace-based technologies:
• Translucent reflections – unlike standard technology, a novelty based on RTX creates correct reflection of objects outside the camera or not turned to it.
• Indirect scattered lighting – light is reflected not only from glossy, but also from matte surfaces, creating a realistic picture. With such lighting, the scenes look more naturally, and objects fit better in the environment.
• Contact shadows – a hybrid technology that creates accurate shading on the surface close to the subject that throws the shadow. Due to this, the quality of detail is improved and the shading artifacts like “Lestenok” are eliminated.
