As for the mission “Cult of the God of Death” and the bonuses for it (pistol armor and something else), I’m not sure, I never got it.

Perhaps it opens a little further, after leveling up with Marshal (it is he who gives the quest), and perhaps it will not open on pirate at all.
There are 2 types of saves available in the folder – for male and female characters, the save starts immediately after the completion of the prologue.
