In order to use the codes in the game, you need a HEX editor.

Save old files before changing.
Open the file “persist.dat” in the game directory. Find line 0x44 and change the value to 07.
Now start the game and press [F1], a menu will open and enter the codes.
Also, codes can work if you’ve won the game at least once.
