KSE Save Editor / SaveGame Editor v. 3.3.2.alternate – works with the latest version of Steam (as of 08/01/2015), for correct operation you need to add the path to the game to the registry:

1. Open regedit
2. Go to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ for 32 Bit Windows, or HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE \ SOFTWARE \ Wow6432Node for 64 Bit Windows.

3. Add a section (if not): “LucasArts” (without quotes)
4. Add the section to the created section: “KotOR2” (without quotes)
5. Add a string parameter to KotOR2: “Path” (name, without quotes) data – game directory “C: \ Program Files \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Knights of the Old Republic II \” (without quotes) for 32-bit Windows, “C: \ Program Files (x86) \ Steam \ steamapps \ common \ Knights of the Old Republic II \” for 64-bit windows.

Since Steam does not automatically create a save folder and saves games in the cloud service, you need to create a Saves folder and transfer (copy, select) the save folders. In the game, when saving, uncheck the “Cloud saves” checkbox in the upper right corner.
