The Best Heists in GTA V
Heists are back from GTA Vice City with a few more added features and challenges. It has formed the main game’s core, and the online version of GTA V has three updates focusing on the activity. While GTA modded account holders can plan and execute one efficiently, others might have more difficulty. Here, the latter can choose the best ones with the highest payouts to get the cash they need.
The Diamond Casino Heist
Prerequisite Facility: Arcade
Number of Players: 2-4
Payout: variable according to approach and vault contents
In this heist, you’ll be planning to steal what’s inside the vault of the eponymous Diamond Casino. You’ll need to be part of a CEO or VIP Organization or the President of a Motorcycle Club to unlock it. The preparation missions include scoping out the vault, after which you can decide how to approach the heist.
There are three main ways to approach this heist: Silent & Sneaky, The Big Con, or Aggressive. Of course, each has its pros and cons, and it depends on your (and other crewmates’) decision. The first requires stealth and hacking skills, and you should avoid getting spotted. The second is more upfront but relies more on charm and deceptions. The last is direct to the point and combat-oriented.
In this heist, getting hit or otherwise taking damage in the escape can deduct from your total earnings. This only applies to The Pacific Standard, Cayo Perico, and this activity. The others will always guarantee the payout and the bonuses.
The vault can hold the following items:
- Cash
- Artwork
- Gold
- Diamonds (only during limited-time events)
You’ll want to time your heists to have the diamonds to get the biggest payouts, but the other items are valuable, too. The casino also has a secondary vault that can add $30,000 – $200,000 to your earnings if raided. Do this with the minimum crew member count to maximize profits for yourself unless the cut is agreed upon beforehand.
The Cayo Perico Heist
Prerequisite Facility: none
Number of Players: 1-4
Payout: variable according to target item and number of players
The Cayo Perico Heist lets you infiltrate Juan “El Rubio” Stickler’s cartel under the direction of Miguel Madrazo of the Madrazo Cartel. Preparations include casing the rival leader’s office and spying on the item to steal. On your first heist of this kind, you’ll steal some documents about the Madrazo Cartel. Afterward, it’ll be various items, from necklaces to statues. The papers will never be a target for the heist again.
This is a unique heist that can be done solo, but that diminishes the earnings you can get from it. The secondary vaults and objectives need another player to achieve, which limits how much the payout will be. Find a balance between rewards and players participating.
The heist is also flexible enough that you don’t have to follow your plans strictly. There are de-facto approaches you can use, but you can switch between the three at your leisure.
The items to steal could be:
- Sinisimito Tequila
- Ruby Necklace
- Bearer Bonds
- Pink Diamond
- Panther Statue (much like the diamonds above, only available in limited-time events)
There are also secondary items you can steal, which could be:
- Artwork
- Weed
- Cocaine
- Cash
- Gold
About $50,000 – $99,000 can be looted from El Rubio’s safe in his office. You have so much to gain from this heist, which can be maximized by having at least one more crew member.
The Doomsday Heist
Prerequisite Facility: any
Number of Players: 2-4
Payout: $4,200,000 – $5,249,000 (all three acts)
As mentioned, this heist is divided into three acts. Each has its own preparation phase and finale. They are The Data Breaches, The Bogdan Problem, and The Doomsday Scenario.
All preparation phases must be done in Freemode, meaning other players in PvP can steal your equipment. On the positive side, you can steal the equipment from rival heist crews doing the same act of the heist. You can also consider these as actual missions instead of heist preparation missions.
While the above can be done solo, having a crew around to handle the other equipment would still be best. Plus, you’ll have extra reinforcements to defend against other players.
The Pacific Standard Job
Prerequisite Facility: a High-End Apartment with a Heist Planning Room
Number of Players: 4
Payout: $750,000 – $1,875,000
In this heist, the crew will have to separate for different tasks. One will handle the demolition, one will hack the security system, and the other will control the crowd. It’s a balance between all three of those. If one falls, the heist will fail.
It’s got everything you’d want in a heist. There’s hostage-taking, explosions, hacking, and the daring getaway. Well, you’ll be vulnerable in the lattermost one because the only available method is through motorcycles, which, while a tiny target, does not offer much protection. There will be someone(s) shooting at you during your escape. If you get hit, you’ll lose a bit of your payout, so take evasive maneuvers.
Still, it’s a solid heist to do when strapped for cash.
Replaying Heists
All heists are replayable by talking to Lester. If you’ve become a leader for one, you should have the most basic requirements (a high-end apartment with a planning room). Afterward, to replay a heist, you must call Lester to set you up with one.
Of course, you’ll need to pay the fee, but the heist will return it with interest.
Enjoy GTA V Online Heists!
The best is subjective, as you could have other factors or aspects to think of. The above are the most profitable, but you might be looking for the simplest to do with no extra effort. Otherwise, you might want the most exciting ones. Whatever your preference, the most important thing to do is to have fun with heists.
Continue playing GTA V Online, and add that cash to your GTA modded (or not) account!
