Canadian researchers unexpectedly found out that people who destroy cigarettes in virtual reality are much better to treat from nicotine dependence than those involved in some neutral matter. After examining a group of 91 people, divided by randomly into two parts, one of which for four weeks of genocidils of cigarettes, and the other – unknown balls, scientists then compared the results. The first group of thrust for cigarettes was significantly lower than that of the second. And even six months after treatment, 39% of the fighters of virtual cigarettes abstained smoking. In another group, this indicator was two times lower.
But the study of the American military revealed that although gamers are perfectly controlled by combat drones, in the detection of explosive surprises, they significantly inferior to recruits who fond of hunting or designed from disadvantaged urban areas where the chance to catch a real, and not a virtual bullet is not theoretical. According to one of the researchers, the viewing angle and peripheral vision of hunters and street hooligans are better, so they have noticed explosives before. However, real problems teach better virtual – and who would have thought?
