The Higher School of Economics has opened a branch in Minecraft

Students of the Moscow “Higher School of Economics” went to the regime of self-insulation. Some instantly bored to sit without a native uni, so they decided to recreate Minecraft “Pokrovka” – an educational complex where HSE is located. As a result, a simple undertaking of Doroshlo to a whole project – Hse Minecraft, which received support from the University’s leadership.

Yesterday, May 3, a great opening of a virtual representation took place: various events were held in different parts of the complex, including lectures from HSE curators, artists (and memes!) and the performance of DJ Zozuli – the winner of the Russian finals Red Bull 3STyle. During the opening, even showed a congratulatory appeal from Yaroslav Kuzminova – Rector “HSE”.

As the project organizers tell, now in Hse Minecraft you can take a walk on the “Pokrovka”, play mini-games and listen to PVP, but you can arrange something on the server and something more serious. For example, the authors want to spend in Minecraft Open days. In addition, the project is ready for proposals from partners and sponsors.

As they write on the Hse Minecraft page on the HSE website, the project participants have already begun to help other Russian universities to build their virtual representative offices. Among those who wanted to be students of Moscow State University, SPBPU, MIPT and others.
