Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS), or SUPERSAMPLING based on deep learning, – technology NVIDIA, which improves the speed and picture in games thanks to artificial intelligence. This week, March 26, Smart Supersampling pumped up to version 2.0.
In his blog NVIDIA explains that, compared with the original version, Dlss 2.0 boasted several improvements:
- Increased graphic quality. Version 2.0 gives an image comparable to a picture in a native resolution, but draws from a quarter to half of pixels. Using new temporal feedback techniques (Temporal Feedback), Dlss 2.0 provides higher clarity and stability from frame to frame.
- Excellent scaling at all GPU RTX series and in all permissions. The new model of AI is more efficiently using tensor kernels and operates twice the original – it removes restrictions from supported video cards, settings and permissions.
- One neural network for all games. Last technology required training AI for each new game. Dlss 2.0 learns on content without binding to a specific product, and therefore will appear in the greater.
- Settings. In Dlss 2.0 Three modes are available – “Quality”, “Balance” and “Speed”. The latter is able to raise the resolution of the picture quadructured (from 1080p to 4k).
March 26 Support DLSS 2.0 will appear in Control And Mechwarrior 5: Mercenaries.
According to NVIDIA, Technology will be compatible not only with RTX video cards, but also with Xbox Series X.
