The organizers of E3 2020 confirmed that the exhibition will not have a digital version
When the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) announced the abolition of E3 2020, it expected to conduct an event at least in digital format. But it did not work out – E3 this year will not pass in any form.

In the comments for PC Gamer, an ESA representative said that the planned “online expirers” would not take place, but the Association intends to promote the activities of individual companies:

In connection with the problems caused by the Pandemic COVID-19, we will not carry out online E3 2020 in June. Instead, in the coming months, we will work with exhibitors to promote and demonstrate the announcements of individual companies, showing them on WWW.E3Expo.Com. We do not fail to unite our industry and community in 2021 and submit a rethinkable E3, which will highlight new products and amaze our audience.
Recall that E3 2021 will be held from June 15 to June 17. In the current year, players will entertain IGN – the team is preparing a digital show Summer Of Gaming.
