The Authors Of The Sunless Sea Announced The Prequel Of Their Past Games – Visual Novel Mask Of The Rose

Studio Failbetter Games, famous Sunless Sea And Sunless Skies, announced work on two new projects. Today, developers announced the first of them – a romantic visual novel Mask of the Rose, which will be the feature of all games in the Fallen London universe.

Events unfold in 1862, just a few months after London captured bats. Residents of the city are still adapting to life under the ground, where it was not fortunate enough to be the main character that lives in a boarding house with other guests.

Guests – Medica Archie student, Masters of Masters Grizeld, Hospital House Horace and Constable Hardit. Apparently, these characters will play an important role in the plot.

Visual number Mask of the Rose Created by inspiration from noir films, photos of the Victorian era and the period of the London Blitz. According to the authors, they will continue the evolution of Fallen London style, keeping the atmosphere of the original, but with greater details and depth.

February 8, 2021 Developers will launch Kickstarter-campaign Mask of the Rose. About the date of exit and platforms do not say.
